Smile by Dr. Bakhtiyar is a dental clinic in Baku, Azerbaijan, where you can discuss your treatment in English: four of our six dentists speak English, including the founder, Dr. Bakhtiyar Aliyev. For patients travelling from abroad we prepare a preliminary plan from your X-rays and photos before you arrive and fit the work into as few trips as possible (implant treatment usually takes two). Expats living and working in Azerbaijan come to us for check-ups, hygiene, fillings, implants and urgent care in English.
You send your panoramic X-ray or 3D CBCT via WhatsApp or Telegram; the doctor reviews it and gives treatment options and a written cost estimate. Before you fly you know what will be done, how many days it takes and what it costs.
The intraoral scanner and CAD/CAM are in the clinic, and 3D CBCT is taken at a partner imaging centre very close to us: hours, not days, pass between the impression, the planning and the finished restoration. More stages are completed in one trip.
Implantologist, prosthodontist, orthodontist-gnathologist, endodontist, pediatric dentist and restorative dentist work as one team. A complex case is not referred to another clinic.
The price list is public on the website and every line of your plan is taken from it. The estimate you receive before arrival does not change afterwards, unless the examination changes the plan, and then we agree it with you first.

Describe your concern on WhatsApp or Telegram and send any existing X-rays (panoramic, CBCT) or photos of your teeth. If you have none, on your first day a panoramic X-ray is taken at the clinic and a 3D CBCT at our partner imaging centre nearby.
The doctor reviews the images and provides a written preliminary plan with one or two options, a cost estimate and the number of visits needed. The final diagnosis and plan are confirmed after the clinical examination in Baku.
We build the appointment schedule around your flight dates: what happens on which day and how many free days remain in between. There is time to see the city.
Day one: examination, X-ray (3D CBCT at the partner centre nearby) or scan and plan confirmation; the following days: treatment stages. Work that needs long healing (implants) gets a planned second trip.
Written aftercare instructions and all your X-ray and scan files stay with you. If you have a question, you message the doctor in the same chat; if needed, we share treatment details with your local dentist.

The number of trips depends on the condition of your teeth and bone: for example, if bone grafting is needed before an implant, healing takes longer. We state this in writing at the planning stage.
